Ben Houstie has had the opportunity to work under Bill Reid, painting several drums of Bill’s designs and 20 paddles for the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Ottawa. He has also painted several reconstructed artworks in 2000 for the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia. Ben was placed in a residential school and was there that he found the artistic traditions of his culture, and has now committed his life to Northwest Coast Art.
