Vivian McDonald is the owner of Ochitow – which means “natural” or “that’s the way it is”.
She is Cree and Iroquois from the Aseniwuche Winewak Nation in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains near Grand Cache, Alberta.
Vivian is a knowledge holder, land based practitioner, master hide tanner and multi-disciplinary artist, whose practice is deeply rooted in traditional teachings and guided by a lifelong commitment to preserving and revitalizing Indigenous knowledge.
Each item is extremely special and beaded by hand with care.
