My Heros Have Always Been Indians is unique because it highlights the often overlooked contribution that Aboriginal people have made to Alberta society. It has two parts: the first is a historical, cultural and demographic synopsis of Aboriginal peoples in Alberta. The second part highlights the contributions of 100 role models in short biographies and photographs. They contributed to the arts, literature, commerce, community, development, education, environmental stewardship, justice, military service, politics, sports and more.
