These beautiful earrings are handmade by local Indigenous maker Coral Madge and feature a stylized Dene Metis floral motif inspired by vintage beadwork.
Coral uses French metal beads, as well as Czech, Venetian, and French glass beads that are all antique. The metal beads were introduced to North America in 1859 depending on the trading post, and were produced up until 1900, so these beads Coral uses are at least 124 years old.
These earrings are made of smoked moose hide and are edged with vintage metallic French Tints. All material (besides hooks) are late 1800s.
Approx. 2.5×2.5 inches.
